Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction – simple and easy to learn mindfulness practice can cultivate states of relaxation, improve physical symptoms of pain and chronic illness, open our minds to greater insight, and enhance our physical health and sense of well being.

This class is open and appropriate for all levels, beginners welcome.

The practice is conducted seated in relaxing chairs.

This class will include seated and reclining meditations, attention on mindfulness of the breath and sensations in the body, and guided body scan relaxation.

Meditation and Mindfulness of breathing in the Salt Cave.

Breathing is fundamental to life.
It is just happening. Generally, we don’t pay much attention to it unless we have a bad cold, the flu, or allergies. Now, imagine resting in an awareness of your breathing.

To do so requires first that we feel the breath and afford it a place in our stimulating field of awareness, which is always changing in terms of what the mind or the body or our life offers up to divert and distract our attention.
We might be able to feel the breath, but in the next moment, it is forgotten, and we are giving our attention to something else.

So begins our practice of aiming our attention and then sustaining our focus moment by moment.

“Hello, this is Corrine and Juan! We are both Registered Nurses and believe there are many different forms of healing modalities. We have found that sound therapy can be very effective in promoting pain relief, stress reduction, relaxation, and can have many other health benefits. Sound baths can be used to bring balance to our physical, mental, and emotional states.

In our sound bath you will experience breath work, meditation, and with the use of various instruments, be bathed in sound waves of healing frequencies and vibrations. We are passionate about bringing sound as a form of complementary/alternative medicine and would love for you to join us in our healing journey.”
